The PR1446 smart Belt Feeder Controller operates with weigh belt feeder systems to accurately control the rate of delivery of bulk solid materials along a conveyor belt.

Precision electronics combined with a colour touchscreen HMI and advanced storage and communication options provide a state of the art solution for constant rate feeding applications.

Accurate Feed Rate Control

The PR1446 smart Belt Feeder Controller uses high resolution electronics coupled with intelligent signal filtering to accurately measure the weight of material on the belt and the speed at which the belt is moving to determine the material flow rate.

From this calculated flow rate the PR1446 smart Belt Feeder Controller employs a fast-response control algorithm to make adjustments to the analogue output signal used to control the belt speed, or pre-feeding device, in order to maintain a pre-set target flow rate.

User configurable control parameters allow the PR1446 smart Belt Feeder Controller to be precisely tuned to the weigh feeder and material flow characteristics.

Process Control System Integration

The desired flow rate can be set locally using the PR1446 touchscreen or transmitted from a remote system via a 4-20mA analogue signal, serial or network communications.

Analogue, serial or network communications can also be used to feed back the live flow rate to the remote system.

This flexible connectivity allows multiple PR1446 smart Belt Feeder Controllers to be easily integrated into process control systems with each one being individually controlled by the central PLC.

Batching and Loading Systems

The PR1446 smart Belt Feeder Controller can be used to control the feeding of a pre-set quantity of material, with or without rate control, for batching and loading system. Use of the digital I/O provides the means of running the feeder until the desired quantity of material has been conveyed. The pre-set target total can be set locally or transmitted from a remote system via the serial or network communications.
