Practicon offers SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) solutions to control, monitor and visualise the manufacturing automation processes of the plant or machinery.
Siemens or Allen Bradley Control System Solutions
Single PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) control systems or DCS (Distributed Control Systems) from Siemens S7 range or Allen Bradley Compact Logix or Control Logix range can be provided to control the plant or machine automation with associated HMI (Human Machine Interface) to display plant information to the operators.
Data acquisition is obtained from sensors and transducers connected to the PLC control system or DCS via conventional wiring or by standard industrial networking i.e. Profibus, Devicenet or Ethernet. Open communication protocols, such as OPC (Open Productivity & Connectivity) are also utilised to communicate data to the HMI’s and to connect third party SCADA systems or PLC’s to share and centralise process data.

Practicon embraces industrial communication standards i.e. Ethernet, Devicenet, Profibus, Modus and RS232/RS485 serial communications in the design of automation control systems.
OPC Communications & Control System Design
Industry standard OPC Servers which are widely accepted solution for communicating with industrial hardware and software devices are used as a core component of Practicon control systems infrastructure. The design and implementation of Practicon SCADA systems provides a complete overview of the plant or machine operations that includes graphical mimics of the plant, trending screens, batch and material historical reporting and alarm event handling.
